threads and bolts not align

I purchased this set for a house to be built/completed in December. I assembled one of the six so that my wife could get a feel for the scale texture and color. The packing was great. The materials are nice. The assembly is a bit off. The threads on the back rest do not completely align with the bolt used to connect the back upright leaving a 3/8" gap between the back rest and the upright. Out of fear of cross threading I don't want to over tighten it. Is it noticeable? Probably only to the people that will buy this chair. Still a great value for a nice reproduction piece and you get what you pay for. If the other 5 chairs have the same alignment issues I'll knock down two more stars. If the other 5 chairs assemble cleanly I'll add two more stars.
